Elegant and most unique

by: Ton Manders

An interview with Jenny Degtyareva
Student: international balletclass at Balletschool Mabel Alter

"I think it all started wit my mom. She has a friend who is a balletteacher. So, I started with ballet when I was five. In London, where I used to live before coming to Holland in December 2004. I now dance at Balletschool Mabel Alter in The Hague".

"Dancing is my passion. Swan Lake, Giselle... I love classical ballet, because it is so graceful. Besides that, there are only a few people who like ballet and dance themselves. I always want to be the most unique person!"

"Sometimes it is really hard and I have to work a lot on my pliés. So I do my exercises every day, and go to class twice a week. But I still have time left to go horse riding two times a week."

"Maybe someday I will get into the Royal Conservatory in Holland or the Royal Ballet in England. I really would love to become a professional ballerina!"
